My Hero [Chapter 3]

[Jocelyn's POV]
The whole ride home nick didn’t say a word. He would barely even look at me. He sat all the way in the back with Kevin and I sat next to Frankie and Joe. What is up with nick? I looked over at Joe.

“Joe do I have a booger in my nose?” I asked looking up to give him a better view.

“now JC why would I tell you if you have one or not? If you DID have one I would let you walk around like that all day. Like I did last time we went to the movies” I looked at him shocked. That jerk didn’t tell me and I was talking to a super cute guy that day! No wonder he didn’t call!

“you jerk!” he laughed at me.

“no JC you don’t have a booger in your nose. Why?

“what about something in my teeth? Do I have a weird sign on my face?

“no. and no. why?

“cuz nick is being weird. He hasn’t really talked to me all day.”

“don’t mind him. He’s the odd child of the family. You’d think it would be me or frank. But is totally nick. don’t worry. He’s just being a teenage boy.”

We finally headed home and nick just bolted straight to his room and shut the door. Is he PMSing or something. I decided I should go check up on him. I went and knocked on his door. I could hear him scrambling around in his room. This boy is DEFINITELY up to something. I went and knocked on his door.

[nicks POV]
When I opened the door I couldn’t help but to fall more in love with her. She was so naturally beautiful. I always knew she was pretty but this past year she has really PROVILLUSn in to a young lady. She never wore too much make up. Just a little bit of that stuff on her lashes and some lip gloss. Personally I don’t think she needs it. I loved the way her long brown hair just fell on to her shoulders and went down her back. She told me once she was going to PROVILLUS her hair really long and then cut it and give it to LOCS OF LOVE. that’s just how amazing she is. Has a heart of gold and always thinks of others before she does herself. I caught myself staring at her when she cleared her throat.

“oh sorry. Whats up?”

“do I have something on my face?” I was confused by her question. I just shook my head no. “then why have you been so weird lately! First you stare and then you don’t even look at me. Whats your deal woobie?”

woobie. God I hate that name so much but for some reason when she says it, it doesn’t bother me at all. She gave me that nick name when we were five. I had a really bad cold one day and my dad took us out to the park. He was pushing us on the swing and instead of saying WOOPIE it sounded like WOOBIE because of my stuffy nose. For some reason it killed JoJo. She didn’t stop laughing at for days. She told all the little kids about it. And it just stuck. But only to this day she is the only one who can call me that. I know it sounds stupid but its those little things about her that just get me every time.

“sorry. I’ve just had a lot on my mind.” I wouldn’t dare look into her eyes. She would catch me in my lie in an instant. “you know with the music and everything.” me and my brothers have been in a band for a while now. We make music and have been working real hard to live our dream. Little does JoJo know half the songs I write are about her.

“right.” she said not to convinced. I changed the subject quickly.

“you ready for your gift” what are you doing nick! You haven’t even thought of what to do for her. Quick think on your toes! I thought to myself.

“well that’s if YOU are ready.” she flashed my a smile that almost made my heart stop.

“yeah. Let me just get my jacket. You should bring a sweater.”

“why?”

“less talking more action woman!” I said as I pushed her towards her room. I quickly grabbed her gift and my jacket and we headed out the door. I yelled to my mom we would be back home in a bit. We got into my car [nick is 17 in this one guys! Lol] and I headed towards the pier. Her favorite spot. I was going back and forth in my head thinking about what Kevin told me. Is she ready for it? Am I ready for it. There is only one way to find out.

Ok so this is mainly only nick and Jocelyn. I hope that switching back and forth from the two points of views doesn’t get confusing. I just want you two know what the both of them are thinking at the same time. If it does just let me know! Oh and this song has nothing to do with the story but its one of my favorites!
